Abstract: In order to clarify the application effect of new seaweed compound fertilizer on summer maize, a field experiment was conducted to study the effects of seaweed compound fertilizer with equal nutrient content, reduction of 10%, 20% and 30% on the yield, growth and development, nutrient absorption and utilization of summer maize no NPK fertilizer and conventional fertilization used as control in this experiment. The results showed that the application of equal nutrient content seaweed compound fertilizer could promote the growth and development of summer maize, significantly increase the yield of summer maize by 15.27%. The nutrient accumulation of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium was significantly higher than that of conventional fertilization. Compared with conventional fertilization, the utilization rate of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer increased by 29.17%,57.89% and 84.21%, respectively. The reduction of seaweed compound fertilizer by 10% could still ensure the stable yield of summer maize, and significantly increased the contents of soil ammonium nitrogen and available phosphorus by 21.06% and 15.52%, respectively. Equal nutrient content seaweed compound fertilizer had better yield increase effect, and higher fertilizer use efficiency. In a word, 10% reduction, which could maintain summer maize yield and soil fertility, had the effect of reducing application and increasing efficiency, and be popularized and applied in production of summer maize.
